Chapter 11 "The Divorce"

March 17th, 2000 Los Angeles, CA.

Jonny was sitting across from Cheryl.  She had obviously been crying.  Why?, she was getting the house.  Well he was giving it to her.  He owned everything and he just wanted her out.

"Mrs. Connors, Do you understand the documents infront of you?"  The Judge asked Cheryl.  Crying, "Yes, I understand."
"Ok, I need you to sign here and initial here." he said pointing to the different lines.
"Now I am assuming you would like to take back your name?"  "Yes."  More tears.  Jonny rolled his eyes, he was feeling very uncomfortable.  He just wished this was over with.  He was starting to get an itch to drink.

"Mr. Connors, Do you understand the document infront of you?" He asked Jonny.  Jonny replied that he did.
"Sign here and initial here, please."  Jonny took the pen and did as he was told.
"Now it is my understanding, That, Mr. Connors you get everything except the house?"  He said looking at both Cheryl and Jonny.
"Yes, your honor."
"Ok, then you are to remove everything from the property no later than Friday March, 24th.  You are not allowed to be at the premises during that time.  It this clear?"  Both, "Yes."

"Alright, well it always saddens me to say this but your divorce is final, you are no longer married."  And with that he walked out of the room.

Jonny hurried out, he didn't want to engage in any conversation with Cheryl.  He was now a free man and he felt like celebrating.  He went to the nearest bar, sat down and ordered a drink.

Jonny had been there for several hours, when his cell phone rang.  "Hello."  "WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?"  Al shouted.
"What, I am at Expo, having a few drinks."
Al turned to Tany, "He is at a bar."
"Give me the phone."

Al didn't, "Jonny, did you forget we have studio time?"  "Oh, yeah, huh, ha Ok, I will be there in a few minutes."

Tany grabbed the phone, "I am sending Biff, don't drive Jonny."  "Tany, I have only had a few drinks, I promise I will be fine."
"Jonny if you drive, I am kicking you ou......."  Al grabbed the phone back, "Don't go anywhere Jonny, Biff has already left."
"Fine, whatever dude."  Al hung up the phone.

Tany sat there stewing.  Al, was thinking that Tany was gettting more and more crabby as time got closer for Scott to leave.
"You can't tell him he is out of the band."
"No, but if he keeps this up, It will be me or him, Al."
"Mouth, just because you are upset that Scott is leaving, don't take it out on Jonny and myself."
"What, I am not crabby because Scott is leaving,  I am sick of this."

"You need to lay off."
"WHAT?  ME LAY OFF!!,  How about he lays off the drinking?"  And with that she walked out.

Jonny had been sitting on the curb when Biff pulled up.  He got in the car and Biff took off.

"How much trouble am I in?"
"Tany is pretty upset."
"I just wanted a few drinks, I am a free man now."
"Hey, don't explain it to me, I am just the driver."
"No way, man, you are part of the Family now."
"No offense, Jonny, but if this is how you treat your family, I don't think I want to be a part of it."
"What, you don't know a thing about me, you just barely got on the payroll."
"Exactly."

Biff pulled into the parking lot and Al was waiting for him.  Biff didn't open the door for Jonny.  "Before you go in, you need to know that Tany is extremely upset."

"So, why is that my problem."
"Because, she is the leader of this band, Jonny."
"What, since when?"
"Since, I became manager."
"You can't be serious. So, you made her the leader, without consulting me."
"Jonny, It was more of a group decision."
"Who?"  Jonny was getting redder and redder.  Tany had been listening to the whole conversation, in fact any one within ear shot, could hear Jonny and Al.

She walked out, "Jonny," He turned toward her, "It was everyone, the band, Al and I."

He walked over to her, "How can you do this to me, Without me, there is no you." Tany stood there, trying to compose herself.
"Jonny, I love you and you know why I am doing this."
"Oh give me a break, you aren't doing it just for me, you know as well as I do, you are doing it because you love it." He said through clinched teeth.

Al stepped in the middle, "Ok, that's it. Jonny go settle down, Tany go back inside."  Jonny did as Al told and Tany walked back inside.

Tany was sitting by Steve, they had finished a song and were trying to think of another song, when Jonny walked in.  "Can I talk to you alone?"  Tany sat there looking at both of her brothers.  Al gave her a quick nod.  She walked out of the room, with Jonny.

"Listen...."
"No, you listen, I am sick of your shit.  I am not going to tolerate it any more."
"Tany, I am sorry, I just thou..."
"No that is it, Jonny, you don't,  Give me one good reason, why I should even except your apology."
"Because I am your brother and you love me."
"Jonny....."
"I know, I am an asshole, a jerk, a moron, did I cover it?"

She smiled a little.  He leaned down.  "Jonny, NO more drugs, no more alcohol or I will Jonny."
"Ok, that sounds fair, Thanks mouth."
"Don't thank me, just don't do it anymore. I want my big brother back."
"I am back, I promise."

That night Tany sat down on her bed, with her guitar and wrote a song.  Tany didn't know but that song would come to mean more than her yelling at her brother.

Chapter 10 "The Dinner"

February 16th, 2000  Malibu, California
around 9pm.

Biff and Tany were forging a fantastic bond. Although Tany refused to sit in the back seat, as per Biff's request.  They found they both had a love and understanding of horses.  You could often hear them talking about each others ranches.  Both dreaming of owning one.  And how both would love to sit and watch wild horses.  Biff was with Tany, pretty much everywhere she went.  He was even a certified bus driver.  So he could drive their tour bus, if ever they received one.  Biff also liked how Tany never went anywhere without introducing Biff.  She would always say, "This is Tim my good friend."  Biff knew she would never ever treat him like a staff member.  Instead she was very respectful. Tany included Biff as much as possible, even on some of the decisions.  He was her friend and protector, that is how she saw him. Not just her bodyguard/driver. So here they were, Biff was driving her to Scott's house.  She had insisted, that she could just take a taxi but Biff, refused.
"So what do you think you are having for dinner?"
"I couldn't tell you?"
"Do you think I will need to pick you up or will Scott take you home?"
"I want Scott to take me home."  Home wasn't a house for Tany it was a hotel room.  She had been staying there for a few weeks.  They pulled up in Scott's drive way.  Tany was getting out, "Don't forget you have a plane to catch tomorrow morning," Biff said with his eye brows up.
"I know."  She shut the door.  She wanted more than anything to run into his house, but she was patient.

Scott had been patiently waiting for them to arrive.  He was sitting on his new couch, watching TV.  He was so excited to see her.

She wasn't able to knock, he had jumped over his couch and quickly opened the door before she got there.

She looked up at him and smiled.  His heart melted every time he saw her.  He was so in love with her.  He kissed her softly and then it became a blown out french.

They were kissing as Scott lifted and cradled her in his arms.  While holding her he walked over to the couch.  Gently laying her down, still kissing her.  It was like the two had done this numerous times.  Tany was getting very hot very quickly.  Which wasn't hard around Scott, his cologne always made her groin throb.  Scott's man hood was standing at attention, she smelled like pears and some type of berry.  It was driving him sexually mad.  She started to take off his shirt.  He was about to let her but then the oven timer went off.

"Well, I guess we better cool it until after dinner," He said as he bent down and kissed her head.  She took a deep breath, realizing she could have gone all the way with him.

Tany walked into the kitchen, seeing the table was set very romantic. She smiled to herself.

"Do you want me to do something?" she asked doing the polite thing.
"Yes, I want you to eat."  He was walking out with a platter of fish and some potatoes.
"Can you grab the salad, Tanz?"
"Sure."

She walked over to the kitchen counter where the salad bowl was.  There sitting on the counter was a contract for an apartment.  She didn't want to be nosy, but it was Tany Connors.  She picked it up and read a little.  Her heart stopped.  She nearly cried, it was for an apartment in Toronto.  "Are you coming?" He asked, seeing her expression.

"Tanz, it's something I wanted to talk to you about."
"What's this for?" She started to cry.
"Aw, Tanz don't, don't cry, come on."
"Are you moving to Canada?"
"NO, Yes, just for a few months."
"Why, do you have to go so far away?"
"The roll, babe. Don't cry." He said holding her.
"I guess, I should have expected this, but wow, so when do you leave?"
"I know it is going to be hard, but I will call everyday, just like before and I will send you bbq chips."
"When do you leave Scott?"
"As soon as we wrap for the Summer."
"Well I guess we are just going to have to get really good long distance plans."  She laughed a little and then wiped her eyes.
"Yes, I suppose we should." He said softly.

They sat down to eat. Tany and Scott both ate quickly, Scott did a great job.  She was finding things about him, that didn't surprise her.  She loved this side of Scott.

Scott sat there a few minutes and finally got up, walked over to his shelf and pulled a box off.  He walked back over to the table and sat down.  "Tany, I found this ring and I want you to wear it.  This is my promise to you that one day I will put the real thing on it.  I want to have a little more money before that."
"Oh Scott........," She couldn't finish what she was going to say, because she started to cry again.
"Tanz, I don't want to hide anymore,  I want people to know that I love you, and I don't give a shit if the paparazzi knows it either."

She stood up, Scott followed suit.  They embraced each other as though it was goodbye.

Then the kissing came, this time, Scott lifted Tany up and walked upstairs to his bedroom.  Tany laid down on the bed and Scott without hesitation laid down with her.

Kissing, Tany removed Scott's shirt.  Scott then removed Tany's shirt.  Took him a second to realize she was wearing a pink bra with white lace.  He found this to be very sexy.

Tany then started to unzip his pants.  "Woah, there, you sure we want to go this far?"  Tany looking at him, smiled and then nodded.  He helped her to take off his pants.  Tany thought it was funny that Scott was a boxer brief kinda guy.  Tany slowly removed her skirt.

Scott looking into Tany's eyes, unfastened her bra.  It fell to the floor.

Tany was completely vulnerable to Scott, the only thing that separated the two becoming one, was two small pieces of fabric.  "Are you sure you want to do this?"  Tany couldn't say anything, she wanted Scott in every possible way.  She simply nodded.
"Will you let me know if I hurt you?"  Again Tany nodded.

After they made love, Scott laid down on the bed next to Tany.  Tany rolled over and started to cry.

She had started to shake.  Scott put his hand on her shoulder, "Tany did I hurt you?"
"No." she said softly.
"What is it then? You are starting to make me feel like this was a mistake."

She slowly rolled over, Scott dropped his hand.  "It wasn't a mistake, Scott."
"It must've been, babe. You are crying."
"Scott, I promise you it wasn't a mistake."
"I am starting to feel like shit."

Scott sat up and started to pull on his pants.  "Tany, I am glad that we made love, I am but...." choking up, he sat back down on the bed.

Tany sat up and put her hand on Scott's back, "Scott I am so happy, it hurt a little but it went away almost immediately and it felt good."  "Why are you crying?"
"I guess, because I didn't realize that I could love somebody as much as I love you. Scott I was afraid that this would change how I felt about you."
"It didn't change how I feel about you, in fact Tanz, I love you more."  "That is what I am saying."
"So are those happy tears?" He asked stroking her cheek.
"Yes, they are extremely happy, in fact I can't explain what they are, just that I am......"
"What?"
"I am totally in love with you."
"Me too, funny how it worked out."
"Yeah, now will you come back to bed, I promise I won't cry anymore, and keep your pants off."
"Is that a threat."  She giggled as he threw himself under the covers.

Chapter 9 "The Part"

February 16th, 2000.  Los Angeles, CA.

Scott didn't win, but that was OK.  He was back to work the next day.  But now he was a Golden globe nominee, which gave his show a little credential.  Since Jo-Beth left, the ratings dropped about 20%.  Which is really bad for a TV series.  IN fact he was hearing that "Watford Wives", may be on their last leg."  This is extremely scary for an actor, because that means the show was being consider for cancellation.  Which meant that Scott would be out of a job, pretty quick.  This made Scott nervous so he decided he would go on auditions whenever he could.  Scott had a few days off, so he went on an audition.

He would be auditioning  for the role of the friend to the lead character.  It was a romantic comedy.  Scott walked in and there was Calvin.  He must be trying out for the part too.

"Hey, Dude." Calvin said.
"Hey, you trying out for this too."
"Yeah, I need some money."
"I hope you get it, bro." Scott said with sincerity in his voice.
"How's Tany, I haven't gotten to talk to her, for a little while?"
"She's good, yeah she is pretty busy."

Just then a woman came out asking for "A Calvin Kerr".  Scott thought that was funny because of his childhood.  Scott had been sitting there for almost an hour.  Calvin walked out.  Scott gave him an expecting look.
"Dude, they aren't going to give me the part, I hope you get it though."  With that Calvin walked out.  Scott knew what Calvin was going through.  Scott had been down this road many times, before.  You go in, read the lines that you think how the character would read them.  You either get called back or you get "Thank you we will be in touch." Nine times out of ten it's the latter.

Scott looked around at the other guys, most of them were like Scott, maybe a few looked like Calvin.  Scott had been there for nearly two hours when his name was called.  He got up and followed the woman inside the room.

Tany was staring outside the studio window.  It was raining, again.  It had rained the last four days and it was getting annoying.  She was suppose to be writing but she was thinking about Scott.  She wondered if he had gotten the part and was impatiently waiting for him to call.

"Tany come play, Cale that song you wrote." Jonny asked her.  "Which one?"
"The one about me."
"Oh, OK."

She sat down at the piano and started to play and sing.  "Tany we should put that one on this Album."
"I was just playing around."  Cale was in deep thought, "You know, we could us violins and that ending would sound awesome. Play it again, please."

She did and Stephen picked up his guitar and started to play along.  Again she sang, this time Cale and Jonny sang harmony for her and it was awesome.  "Well, have we sold you, on this song?"  Tany shrugged her shoulders, and then smiled, "Ok."  "Alright, one down eleven to go."  Everyone in the room laughed.

"Look, they need to be exposed, and the only way they are going to be is, if you invite them to sing on your show."
"Mr. Connors, I understand, but I am not into dance or trance or whatever you want to call it."
"Mr. Numberman, I appreciate your honesty. Thank you for taking the time."
"If they become a little more popular, then I will."

"Ok, thank you, I will keep that in mind."  Al hung up the phone.  "Still no luck?"

"Beth, what am I doing wrong."
"Nothing, What they need is exposure."

"I am trying, But no-one wants them. You heard Numberman, you heard Meno.  Heck I even called Harry Queen.  No body wants a one hit wonder."
"But they're not, they have two hits and really you could count "Because the Night".
"Exactly and they have two MTV music awards, but everyone is calling then a "one hit wonder."

He took a deep breath and then let it out.  Beth walked over to her future husband.
"They are working on their next album and I have confidence it will be a hit."
"Yeah, they are working on it as we speak."
"Maybe they need to tour some more."
"I don't know how, they have no new material."
"What if they did fairs?"
"Fairs?"
"Or festivals, you know anything that will give them that extra umph they need."

"Beth, you make a great assistant."
"I hope I make a great wife too."
"You will, I love you."
"I love you too."  They kissed softly.

Scott  read the lines the way Scott thought "Mark" the character would be.

James Landa loved Scott's portrayal, he gave Scott the part.  Scott would be in his first movie. Of course there was only one person he would call first.

He picked up his phone and dialed her number.  It rang only once, she answered.

"Hello, why haven't you called."
"Hey, Babe."

"Well did you get the part."
"Did I get what?"
"Scott don't be silly, tell me, I have been Impatiently waiting for you."  Scott could hear over the phone someone say, hey that would make a great song.  Then he heard someone playing the piano.  Tany must have gone into another room because the noise faded.

"Ok, Hey, how about I take you out to dinner and I tell you there?"
"Scott Allen Wright, I have been waiting all day, you can tell me over the phone."

"Yes, Ma'am, Yes Tanz I got the part."

"YOU GOT THE PART."
"HEY EVERYONE HE GOT THE PART."
"HEY TELL HIM CONGRATS, MAN."
"WAY TO GO, BRO."  Scott was happy, now he could possibly buy her that ring he saw.
"Are you still there..."
"Scotters, I am sorry, yes, I am so happy for you, I really am.  But I have to go, we have to get this Album out."
"Can I see you tonight?" Scott asked.
"Of Course, your place or mine?" she jokingly said, she was still living from her suitcase.

"Mine, I will make dinner, what time?"
"Probably around 8 maybe 9."Tany answered.
"Ok, Babe, see you then."

****I have to give a special thank you to my man (Hubby), Jason.  Thanks for posing for me, so I could create a guitar pose.****
