It had been four weeks and Jonny was still only smoking marijuana. He was trying his hardest not to do coke, but his stomach was hurting all the time. He would be back in Texas for Christmas, maybe he could just get a bump. He didn't want to do a line just yet. That was too much. He just needed a little more.
His stomach started to ache again. He was told by his re-hab counselor that he would have withdrawal systems off and on for years. This was not was he signed up for. Had he known this was going to be this hard he would have never quit. He got up. Jenny was with her father, so he was alone. Again. Tany probably had a house full of people.
He went to the kitchen. There was dishes in the sink, a pizza box and some donuts. There was beer on the counter. Jonny had his own little party. He should take a shower. He lit a smoke. It felt good. He made himself some coffee and sat down on his couch. Their apartment was a mess. When they made some decent money he was going to hire a housekeeper. He saw the phone was blinking. He had four messages. He hit play. "Hey, This is Kirk you left your phone at my house, man. Ok give me a call." Jonny and Kirk went to college together and had been friends for a few years. Kirk was now DJing at The Reeve. Jonny went there last night sometime. He couldn't really remember. Now he for sure needed to take a shower.
Scott and Christine needed to get this one scene done. They would be going on their hiatus for the holidays. Scott had four words, "It's not time yet." That was all he had to say. Christine's was "Why are you waiting". But they were having the giggles. Everyone on set including Ripley was laughing. They all knew they would be going on a little vacation. So they goofed around.
"Oh Kay I will get this time." Scott said looking at Christine. Christine was trying not to smile. She turned her head, "Ok, let's do it." Scott looks at Christine, "It's you."
"Oh shit that is me." Everyone started to laugh. "Seriously, we need to get this." That made Scott laugh even harder. "Ok this time." He composed himself. Christine turned and nearly knocked Scott in the Face. "Why can't I get this." She was laughing. They finally were able to get their lines.
Ripley called a cast and crew meeting. He had some bottles of champagne so everyone could toast. They only have a few more weeks and then the movie would be in post production. So they toasted. Christine waved goodbye to Scott. Everyone was wishing "Merry Christmas" as
Scott walked to his trailer. He grabbed his bag that he would be taking. The rest was locked up in his house that he was renting. He walked out to see if his car was waiting for him. He couldn't wait to see her. It had been nearly a month since he saw her last and he really missed her. His car pulled up and he got inside. Scott was going home.
Tany was pacing the airport. She needed to see Scott. She had missed him. They talked last night and decided they would spend a few days in Aspen, Colorado sking before they headed to the ranch and have Christmas there. Alan, Dawna and Michael were going to be flying into Dallas later in the week. So that left Tany and Scott sometime to catch up. Tany could see a plane. She looked at the monitor, that was his flight. She watched as it landed and taxied the flight line.
She was watching the plane, when someone tapped her on the shoulder. She turned around. "Tany can I have an autograph?" A teenage girl about fifteen was holding a pen and a notebook. She had excitement on her face. Tany was waiting for Scott anyway. "Of Course, Who do I write this out to?" "Jenny." The girl said. "Is that spelled J-E....?" "No it's spelled G-I-N-N-Y" she said rolling her eyes. Tany laughed. Although Tany still rolled her eyes at Scott, when he would make a dry joke. She didn't roll them all the time. She looked the girl in the eye, "My grandmother's name is Ginny and I think that is a pretty name." Ginny smiled. As she was writing her name, they talked about the upcoming album and how excited Ginny was for it. "Reason" was by far her favorite song. Tany thanked her and handed her the notebook. Ginny thanked Tany and walked away. That was nice. Tany hoped Ginny would like the next Album. She was worried about that.
The passengers were walking off. Tany knew that Scott would be coming off soon. He always flew first class. Tany waited and then she saw him. She ran up to him and kissed him. She didn't care if there was any paps around. There wasn't that day. Scott kissed back.
He pulled her hair away from her face. "I need to see this face." She smiled up at him. They went home.
Jonny was trying to remember what he was going to take with him. He was flying home for Christmas. He had bought a few bags and was thinking about buying some cocaine. He wouldn't do it until they performed again. Once again he was bargaining with himself. He put a few shirts in the suitcase. Lit a cigarette. Why was he having such a hard time remembering.
He went to his keyboard and played a few songs. He couldn't remember the first part of "Bad Boy". He shook it off. He went back to packing.
He finished packing and again played on the keyboard this time he remembered the whole song of "Bad Boy". It must be that he needs some cocaine. That was probably it. He was going to for sure buy some, when he got home.
*****Please feel free to leave a comment, I will take the good, the bad and the ugly. I also promise to take it with a grain of salt.*****
Spent the past two days catching up from the beginning. Very good read. Are you still working on this or is this shelved?
ReplyDeleteI will have a few chapters out again here in the next two weeks. Thanks for reading, Jorvan.
