Chapter 4 "The Scene"

Atlanta, Georgia

It was time for Scott and Christine's big climatic scene.  Scott was pretty comfortable because he was going to get to wear a speedo but poor Christine, so Scott and Ripley made sure there was a robe waiting for her after.  Ripley set the scene for them and kicked out four people.  It was Ripley, Scott and Chris, Sound, Producer, Two Camera men, Lighting and Carrie.  This was going to be harder on Christine.  

When Ripley called action, Scott slowly took off Christine's shirt.  Kissing and making out, Christine took off Scott's shirt, he had been spray painted to cover his tats.  He slowly laid her on the bed, and "Cut, Wow that was great."  Christine went and grabbed her robe.  "Let's take it from the top."  Scott bent down and whispered in her ear, "Let's try to only do a few more takes."  She nodded.  The scene was reset and they started over again.  

This time there was a little more to it and Ripley liked it, "Ok check the gate and let's move on."  The next scene was going to be them actually making love so the lighting had to be adjusted. Something you have to understand about acting (if you don't already know) is that your mind knows it is fake but your body doesn't and sometimes your body shows it.  Lucky for Scott, he had learned a trick a long time ago, to turn it off, no pun intended.  He thought about ugly things like bloody rats or dirty streets.  You can't get turned on by dirty streets. 

So he went into his trailer. He sat down on his little couch.  He took a nap.

Jonny was sitting in the lobby waiting for his sister and her entourage.  He kept thinking it was ridiculous, how she needed all these people.  He needed to get his own, if only he knew a few more people.  Then he thought about some of his friends here in Texas.  He knew two that still lived around the Dallas area.  Jonny decided he would look them up.  Maybe they would be party people too.  Tany and her entourage walked off the elevator.  

Jonny just smiled, he was going to party after they were done.  Tany would never know.  For that matter Jenny would never know.  He was starting to get that taste in his mouth.  When he knew he was going to get high.  He even started to shake a little with excitement.  Although it wouldn't be until later, he was going to see about getting some coke.  No maybe he should start back with marijuana.  Yeah that is what he would do.  He deserved it.  It had been a rough six weeks and he just needed to chill.  Besides he played better when he was high.  He was rationalizing why he needed it.  Jonny wanted to hurry up and get the interviews over with.  They had four today and they would be done for a week.  That gave him loads of time to party.  He couldn't wait.

There was a knock coming from Scott's door.  He woke up and opened the door, it was Evan a Production Assistant.  "Mr. Wright, you are needed on set."  "Evan, don't call me Mr. Wright, my name is Scott."  "yes, Mr... I mean Scott."  "Ok, I will be there in a minute, thanks." 

The door closed, Scott just sat there.  He was tired today.  He walked out and went to the set.  Ripley was yelling at another production assistant about the scheduling.  Which wasn't the poor kids fault but Ripley needed to get it out.  Christine was sitting in her directors chair with her robe on.  Scott had to get some makeup re-applied so Jessica came over and went to work.  "Ok, is everyone ready." Ripley yelled.  "Let's shoot this scene.  Once again Scott was in a speedo and Christine was naked from the waist up.  Christine didn't mind this, but it was weird.  She was happy she had gotten Scott as her Co-star.  He was a gentleman and a real professional.  He didn't really like to goof around too much.  But he didn't take himself too serious either.  This scene was going to be hard on him to.  Before they acted the scene out, Ripley explained to them, where the camera would be.  Scott had to make sure her hair stayed out of her face.  They had to rehearse it a few times, so Ripley could see how it looked.  He only made a few adjustments and he called action.  

They only needed to act out the scene three times.  Ripley was a no nonsense Director.  This is why Scott liked him.

Jonny was dialing the phone.  "Who are you calling?"  "Uh, am old friend."  "Oh are you going to go out." Jenny was kind of leery.  Jonny had been in a bad mood all day and was snapping at everyone. "Why, you didn't have anything planned for this evening.  Did you?"  "No, I was just..............."  "Can't I just go out with my friends?"  

"Yes, you can."  Jenny wasn't going to put up with this attitude.  "Then why are you getting upset?" Jonny was feeling irritated.  Jenny just needed to leave him alone.  "I am not getting upset." she lied, he was upsetting her.  

Jonny continued his call.  "Hey, Bro."  Jenny left the room.  She thought they could spend some time together.  Was she feeling jealous.  Yup, that is exactually what it was.  Jenny scolded herself.  Jonny hadn't seen his friends in a while.  So why shouldn't he go hang out with them.  Jenny wondered if her mother was around, she decided she would go and visit.  Jenny waved to Jonny.  He just half waved, "Yeah man, it's been a while."  She shut the door as quietly as she could.  Jonny had called his friend Jason.  Who was a friend from childhood.  His father use to help out on the ranch.  Jonny would go and meet him and see if they could find a party.

Jonny and Jason walked up to the house.  "Now you are sure there is going to be drugs here."  "Yeah dude."  "The door opened and a really cute girl stood there.  She was obviously drunk.  

"Oh My god, you are Jon S. Connors."  Jason stepped in, "No, this guy is...is...."  "No, sweetheart, I get that a lot."  "Oh, well come on in, the water is fine." She said grabbing his crotch.  Jason walked by, "Dude, you are going to get laid."  Jonny actually thought about it.  But decided this girl wasn't worth it.  So he followed Jason through the livingroom and into the kitchen and there was two pot heads.  

"Hey, Man this is my buddy Jonny, he needs a little...."Shrugging his shoulders.  The one with  blonde hair smiled at Jonny and then pulled out a small package.  

Jonny nodded and pulled some cash out.  "Thank you, Bro, come again."  Jonny just nodded.  Jason and Jonny left the house to go smoke it at Jason's.  

Jason was still working at a fast food place, so his apartment wasn't quite up to Jonny's standards.  But he swallowed his star status and went in.  Jason rolled it and lit it.  

Dragging a drag he gave it to Jonny.  Jonny's stomach lurched with anticipation.  

He brought it to his mouth and inhaled.  Jonny could feel that instant high. Jonny and Jason didn't really talk. Jonny was high and he went to sleep.
